Emergency Services Weekend

Our biggest event of the year is back for 2025!!!!!!!!!

The next Emergency Services weekend has been booked for the weekend of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of August and is being held at Badaguish Outdoor Centre near Aviemore. Activities and workshops will take place in the local area, including Loch Morlich the Cairngorm mountains.

What happens at the weekend?

If you're new to our Emergency Services Weekend, please enjoy our outline below.  This years event is still in the planning stage so the specifics are subject to change, however, it should give you a good idea of what to expect and as details are confirmed we'll update accordingly.

Friday

The weekend kicks off on Friday evening when we gather at Badaguish Outdoor Centre to introduce ourselves and begin the event with talks by our professional guest speakers. First up will be Andrew from uturnback2basics with his story of resilience and overcoming adversity and we'll be announcing more soon.

Drinks will be available and hot food will provided as part of your ticket too. Once the talks are over you can continue to get to know your fellow attendees or head off for an early night, and a good sleep ahead of the following days activities.

Saturday

Saturday is a full day of activity so first we must eat! A hot breakfast will be provided ahead of the brief for the day.

From there if you're familiar with the area you can head off on your own adventures, if not or you would like to try something new then you can take part in one of our workshops.  These are likely to include hill walking, paddle boarding, open water swimming, trail running and more.

After a busy day it's time to gather again back at Badaguish where we can share tales of our exploits over a BBQ feast and perhaps a beer or two!  All to the backdrop of live music from Firefighter and rising star Martin Mullady

Sunday

After a day of action on Saturday the focus shifts to wellness and relaxation on the Sunday morning. So look forward to some yoga, wellness walks and lessons in building resilience.

If however, you still have energy to spare there may be a team challenge to test your fitness, team work and problem solving! There might even be a prize or two up for grabs!

We'll be finishing up around lunchtime.

Sound great! What do I need to do?
